Feodor Rojankovsky was a popular children's book artist. These illustrations are from a school music book, I Like The Country, ©1956 by Silver Burdett.
Like many artists of this era, his work was influenced by the WPA styles of the 1930s, and by artist Thomas Hart Benton. Rojankovsky's attractive watercolors evoke the rural America of a half century ago.
